1. What is FashionAfrique.com?

FashionAfrique.com is a global e-commerce marketplace that connects shoppers directly with authentic African designers, artisans, and fashion houses. Our platform allows customers worldwide to discover, purchase, and enjoy genuine African craftsmanship — from handmade couture pieces to traditional fabrics and modern Afro-luxury fashion. We serve as a secure intermediary, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and trustworthy shopping experience between buyers and verified sellers.

2. How do I make a purchase on FashionAfrique.com?

Simply browse our product categories, add desired items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. You'll be asked to create a secure buyer account or check out as a guest. Payments can be made via credit/debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or mobile money (where supported). Once your order is placed, you'll receive a confirmation email, and the seller will ship your item directly to your chosen address.

3. Are all the sellers on FashionAfrique verified?

Yes. Every seller on FashionAfrique undergoes a strict verification process before being approved to list products. We confirm their identity, business credentials, and authenticity of their products to ensure buyers receive only original, ethically made African fashion.

4. How does shipping work?

Each seller manages their own shipping and packaging. Most orders are shipped via international carriers such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, or Aramex. Shipping costs, estimated delivery times, and tracking details are displayed at checkout. Because our sellers are located across Africa, delivery times may vary based on location, product type, and customs processing.

5. How can I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive an email containing a tracking number and courier details. You can also log in to your FashionAfrique account and check your order status under "My Orders."

6. What is FashionAfrique's return and refund policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or significantly different from its online description, you may request a return or refund within 7 days of delivery. Our Customer Support team will assess your claim and coordinate with the seller for resolution. Refunds are processed after the item has been inspected and verified. Due to the handmade nature of many items, minor variations in color or texture are not considered defects.

7. Are my payments and personal information secure?

Absolutely. FashionAfrique uses bank-grade encryption and PCI-compliant payment gateways to protect all financial transactions. We never store full credit card information. Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and international data protection standards (GDPR, U.S. Privacy Act, and African Data Protection Guidelines).

8. How do I contact a seller before making a purchase?

Each product page includes a "Message Seller" option that allows you to contact the seller directly for questions about sizing, materials, or customization before purchasing. For your safety, all communication must occur within the FashionAfrique platform — off-platform transactions are strictly prohibited.

9. Does FashionAfrique offer buyer protection?

Yes. FashionAfrique provides a Buyer Protection Program that ensures you receive your order as described or get your money back. Funds are held in escrow until delivery is confirmed. Disputes are handled promptly and fairly by our support team to protect both buyer and seller.

10. Can I cancel my order after it's placed?

Orders can only be canceled before the seller has shipped the item. Once shipped, cancellations are no longer possible, but you may still request a return after receiving the item (subject to our Return Policy). Please contact Customer Support immediately if you need to cancel an order.

11. Are there customs duties or import taxes?

Depending on your country, international shipments may be subject to customs duties, VAT, or import taxes. These fees are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the product price or shipping cost. We recommend checking your local import regulations before completing a purchase.

12. How can I stay updated on new collections and featured designers?

Subscribe to our FashionAfrique Newsletter to receive exclusive updates on new designers, limited-edition collections, seasonal sales, and African fashion news.
